Marty attended Forestville Elementary grammar school and El Molino High School where he graduated in 1992. He then attended Santa Rosa Junior College where he earned his AA degree. In 2002 he earned a Bachelor’s degree at the Santa Cruz campus of the University of California where he majored in environmental studies.
