John attended Analy High School (class of 1955), Santa Rosa Junior College (class of 1957) and UC/Berkeley (class of 1959) where he received a degreee in civil engineering. He was appointed to head Sonoma County’s Deprtment of Public Works less that a year before he died from colon cancer.
