Steve is a part-time recording artist. As of 2009, he has released two albums. His music uses sounds that would be familiar to most listeners, but they are arranged and produced in novel and unexpected ways. In 2020, Steve and his cousins established The Coast Miwok Tribal Council of Marin to support the cultivation of their Coast Miwok native American heritage.
