According to his cousin, Ernest Charles Pozzi, Ernie Moretti had a large sheep ranch that he later sold to a professor from University of California, Berkeley. During the 1950s, before retiring, Ernie worked for the Sonoma County Road Maintenance Department, probably out of the Santa Rosa yard. During this same time period, his cousins, Felix Morelli and John B. (Bap) Morelli were working out of the Occidental yard.
