Notes for Gastone Henry VANONI
Gastone first arrived in the USA on February 16, 1913, at the age of 18. The records of Ellis Island show that he returned to Switzerland and was probably married while there. He came back to the USA on March 19, 1921, at the age of 26, probably with his new wife. He was going to a friend’s farm in Brawley, California.
Gastone returned to Aurigeno in August, 1928 after Maria's death. He Married Lucia M. Dellagana in 1929. He returned to Calexico, CA after they were married and worked as a dairyman. He then moved to San Diego for a brief time, and again worked as a dairyman. He moved back to the Imperial Valley, to El Centro, where he had a Fruit and Vegetable stand.
Notes for Maria Luigia (Spouse 1)
When Maria married Gastone, he adopted her son, Mario, born out of wedlock. The rumored father of Mario was Carlo Giuseppe (Charlie) Vanoni. She came to the USA in 1921, along with Mario and Gastone.
