Assuero's father was not indicated on his birth records. His mother was the grandaughter of Judge Giovanni Antonio Vanoni (born 27 July, 1796). Only two months after his marriage to Dorotea Tunzi, he came to the USA with his wife on May 19, 1922. The Ellis Island records indicate that they were going to the home of Maria Lanini Abbysheet, Dorotea's sister, in Fresno, California.
